Match Policies

By registering for any Agile Dog Sport event, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to all Match Policies, including our Indemnity Waiver, COVID-19 Rules, and COVID-19 Waiver.

Indemnity Waiver

I/We the undersigned, (must be of legal age [18 years or older] to sign) agree that the Host Club has the right to refuse my entry for causes that the organizing committee shall deem to be sufficient.

I/We agree to hold the organizing committee, sponsors of the event, owners of the premises upon which the event is being held and their employees, harmless from any claims for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any persons or thing by the act of this dog while in or upon the event premises or grounds or near entrances thereto, and I personally assume all responsibility and liability for any such claim.

I/We further agree to hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for loss of this dog by disappearance, theft, death or otherwise and from any claim for damage or injury to the dog, whether such loss, disappearance, theft, or otherwise be caused by or alleged to be caused by negligence of the parties aforementioned, or by negligence of any person, or any other cause or causes.

I/We hereby assume the sole responsibility for and agree to indemnify and save the aforementioned parties harmless from any and all loss and expense (including legal fees) by reason of the liability imposed by law upon any of the aforementioned parties for damages because bodily injuries, including death at any time resulting thereof, sustained by any person or persons, including myself/ourselves or on account of damage to property, arising out of or in consequence of my/our participation in this event, howsoever such injuries, death or damage to property may be caused, and whether or not the same may have been alleged to have been caused by negligence of the aforementioned parties or any of their employees or agents or any other persons.

I CERTIFY that I am the actual owner of the dog, or that I am the duly authorized agent of the actual owner of the dog entered hereon.

I also understand that the Fun match/Trial organizers reserve the right to dismiss my dog from the trial, without right of refund, should behaviour deemed unacceptable occur, including but not limited to dog aggression or abuse of the dog.

COVID-19 Rules

Please read carefully.

  • Payment through e-transfer is preferred and must be received before the trial, please contact us for other arrangements.
  • No coupons for FREE RUNS will be accepted at this trial.
  • Each class will be limited to an entrant’s max.
  • Extra time has been added to the schedule to:
    • Allow more time to have your dog on the line.
    • Allow for split walkthroughs where necessary.
  • All dogs that need their height measurements done need to have their card completed by two judges.
  • Measuring is NOT required at the Fun Match.
  • Table will not be used in any classes.
  • No leash runner will be used, a leash holder will be located in the center of the fence.
  • No indoor crating except for volunteers. Crating of dogs at vehicles only please.
  • All doors to the barn will be fixed open to allow for easy contactless entry/exit.
  • General briefing will be held for Starters/Advanced and again for Masters.
  • Running order will be emailed to all competitors the night before each event, they will also be available for download from our website.
  • Gate sheets will be posted outside to allow for social distancing, it will also be sent to all entrants.
  • No self-serve ribbons, we will hand out ribbons.
  • Results will be posted at the venue and will be available sent to all entrants after the event has ended.
  • The schedule will be updated on our website throughout the day for those coming in the afternoon. If offered: Steeplechase will not start before the scheduled time.
  • Disposable gloves &/or sanitizer will be available for the ring crew.
  • Hand sanitizer will be available in the arena area.
  • Shared food, or hot drinks will not be available.
  • Please be self-sufficient for food and beverages.

General Agreement – Agility Association of Canada (“AAC”) Participation Waiver and Release

In consideration of the acceptance of this entry by Agile Dog Sports (the “Organizing Club”), and Windsor Stables (“Property Owners”) and the opportunity to have the Dog participate, compete in and/or be judged at this event or trial (the “Event”), I, the undersigned, agree as follows:

  • I certify that I am the actual owner of the Dog, or that I am the duly authorized agent of the actual owner of the Dog and that the Dog is not a hazard to persons, property or other dogs.
  • I agree that AAC or the Organizing Club or Property Owners for the Event may refuse my entry for any reason that it deems to be sufficient.
  • I understand and acknowledge that participation in the Event carries certain risks, including, but not limited to injuries (including serous injuries and death) to myself, the Dog, another dog under my control or persons attending as my guests (my “Related Parties”), damage to property and other losses. I waive any and all claims that I have or may have in the future against, and release from all liability and agree not to sue AAC, the Organizing Club or any of the directors, executives, committees, representatives, employees, volunteers or agents of either AAC or the Organizing Club (the “Personnel”) or Property Owners for any injury, death, property damage or other loss that I or my Related Parties sustain due to any cause whatsoever, including negligence, breach of contract, breach of duty, statutory or otherwise, or mistakes or errors of judgment of any kind.
  • I assume full responsibility for the conduct of myself and my Related Parties during the entirety of the Event. I agree to indemnify and save harmless AAC, the Organizing Club and the Personnel and Property Owners from and against any and all claims that may be made against them or costs, fees, expenses or liability (including, without limitation, lawyers’ fees on a solicitor and own client basis) incurred by AAC, the Organizing Club or the Personnel or Property Owners that may arise due to:
    • any act or omission of myself, my Related Parties or any party for whom I am liable at law; or
    • aggressive behaviour by the Dog or any other dog under my control.
  • I have read, and do understand the rules of competition and the additional rules (if any) appearing in the trial schedule for the Event, as well as the policies of AAC pertaining to discipline (collectively, the “Rules”). I agree to abide by the Rules and to conduct myself and the Dog in accordance with the Rules. I understand that myself and/or the Dog may be subject to disciplinary procedures or sanctions for breach of the Rules and agree to respect and be bound by any disciplinary decision made by AAC.
  • I understand that AAC and/or the Organizing Club may, in the course of administering the Event or conducting its activities generally, collect, use or disclose my personal information and that any personal information collected, used or disclosed by AAC and/or the Organizing Club and/or Property Owners will be treated in accordance with AAC policy and applicable privacy and personal information laws. I hereby consent to the collection, use and disclosure by AAC and/or the Organizing Club of my personal information.
  • I attest that to the best of my knowledge, I do not have COVID-19 at the time of attending this event, and understand the risks of unknowing exposure to this and other illnesses by or to myself, my family, other participants, and third parties. I have not been tested and found positive; am not waiting for test results; and do not have symptoms. I agree that I will not knowingly expose others to any illness I may have or be at risk to have. I will follow all AAC and/or the Organizing Club rules and requirements to reduce any exposure and possibility of contracting or spreading the virus. I will also fully cooperate with and follow any City, or Provincial guidelines that have jurisdiction in the area in which the event is taking place. If any of the above should change prior to my arrival at the trial site or during the completion of the event that is the subject of this consent, I will inform AAC and/or the Organizing Club and proceed accordingly in light of the new information.
  • I agree that I am attending this AAC and/or the Organizing Club event entirely at my own risk and assume all risk and full responsibility for my own health, wellbeing, and safety during this class or event. I fully agree that AAC and/or the Organizing Club , the owners/board members, employees, assistants and volunteers are in no way liable for any present or future COVID-19 exposure incurred at any time by any person, in attendance or not in attendance, during or after this event. I hereby waive and release AAC and/or the Organizing Club , the owners/board members, employees, assistants and volunteers from any and all liability for damages or personal injury to me, my dogs or my property.
  • Further, I hereby indemnify and hold harmless AAC and/or the Organizing Club the owners/board members, employees, assistants and volunteers from any and all claims by or liability to any third party arising out of my participation in the Site and Club event. Any liability to anyone for any incident involving myself, the location, or those pets or actions of other participants and spectators will be my sole responsibility and I assume all financial liability and will also assume all and any financial costs associated with my actions.
  • I have been given the opportunity to read and understand the terms of this Agreement before signing it, and have in fact done so. I understand that by signing this Agreement, I am restricting my legal rights and I sign this Agreement voluntarily and of my own free will.
